Set the controller near the high end of the temperature range recommended for the species you have. This is recommended to reflect the temperature at the "warm" end of the terrarium, near the probe. Allow the controller to adjust terrarium temperature for one hour. If heat source remains on, continue to monitor until desired temperature is achieved, which is indicated by the heat source turning off and on.

The Controller features a 20 to 80 F. range, adjustable with the turn of a knob. There is no probe temperature readout on the dial, so keeping a thermometer inside the refrigerator is highly recommended to keep track of the actual temperature.
